The Great Pyramid of Giza

The oldest wonder in the world that is still around is The Great Pyramid of Giza. The Egyptians built this outstanding monument around 2584-2561 BC. Over 3,800 years this was the largest man made structure in the world. There are 3 known chambers inside the pyramid. The lowest chamber is cut into a a bedrock , and the king's and queens chamber are higher up within the pyramid. This is the only pyramid in Egypt to contain both ascending and descending passages. The pyramid was made from lime stones, and in the kings chamber the largest stones were put in that weighed about 25-80 tons and was dragged from 500 miles away.
